Grammar

1. Tobe

Am, is (benda: ex: it is a book, sifat: ex: it is big, keterangan: ex: it is in the forest), are.

2. Subject + be + noun (benda),

example: we are student, Mr. Andi is a teach, It is my rabbit.

3. Subject + be + adjective (sifat),

 example: he is fat, he is diligent, the picture is beautiful, the cake is nice, he is handsome

4. Subject + be + adverb of place/ time

Example: my mother is in the kitchen, she is in the market, the doctor is in the hospital

5. Subject + Verb + Object

Example : Father reads a book, The student writes a story

6. Penggunaan “ not” pada kalimat

Example:

a)      The old woman is not a doctor

b)      Father and mother do not go to Surabaya

c)      The girl does not clean her house

d)     We are not student

Note: kalau ada kata bantu (is/ are) tidak usa pakai do, does/ did

7. Kata kerja bantu

Modals	Can, may, must, will, shall

8. Penggunaan not di dalam kalimat

Example:

a)      It is big → it is not big

b)      I am student→ I am not student

9. Subject+ be +Noun/ Adjective/ Advern

Example: (+) The boy is a student→  (-) the boy is not student→ (?)Is the boy a student?

10. Subject + Verb + ………..

Example: (+)The man speaks English → (-) the man does not speak English (?) does the man speak English?/ what does the man speak?
