                Neptunus adalah planet kedelapan dari matahari. Planet ini ditemukan oleh Adams dan Leverrier pada tahun 1846. Neptunus merupakan planet yang dingin dan tampak hijau. Suhu permukaan sekitar 220 derajat Celcius. Ukuran planet ini 17 kali lebih besar disbanding bumi. Walaupun belum dipastikan, tetapi diyakini bahwa neptunus juga memiliki cincin seperti Uranus. Satu hari di planet neptunus setara dengan 18 jam 26 menit dan satu tahun sama dengan 164,8 tahun di bumi.

                Neptunus mempunyai dua satelit: triton dan Nereid.
